Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology

Forensic Medicine and Toxicology is a vital branch of medical science that applies medical knowledge to the administration of justice. It bridges the disciplines of medicine and law by assisting in the investigation of crimes, examination of injuries, determination of the cause and manner of death, identification of individuals, and interpretation of medical evidence. The discipline also focuses on toxicology, which deals with the detection, diagnosis, management, and prevention of poisoning caused by drugs, chemicals, toxins, and environmental agents.

The Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at Nimra Medical College is committed to excellence in undergraduate medical education and research. Our department provides comprehensive training to MBBS students in medico-legal principles, ethics, forensic pathology, clinical forensic medicine and toxicology.
